I want to dye my hair black with purple streaks...where can I find the best dyes to do it with? Would you recommend that I bleach it first? Should i have it done professionally? My sister in law was going to do it but I'm not sure I want her to....

My hair is dark brown right now...I've had it bright red, orange, pink, and blonde. Oh and black...blackish blue.

i do think you should bleach it first, unless you use manic panic, which is found at sally beauty supply, and does not require bleaching. it works really well. if your sister in law has done something like this i think you could have her do it. if she hasnt dyed hair before, dont be her guinea pig!

Bleach the areas that are going to be purple using a highlighter kit. Then wrap them with foil before you dye the rest of your hair black. Then apply the purple dye to lighter parts of your hair. Remember, it won't show up on the areas that are black.

if i were you, i would get the hair dye at sally beauty supplies or hot topic and try to use manic panic, that kind worked the best for me, and bleach the streaks you want purple before you dye them.

Mabey go get it professionally done!so it comes out good for sure.That sounds super cute and different,more people should get different colors like that.I got copper tone very original i'm not brave like u to get that color.But those are my favorite colors!good luck!man that's going to look good!
