I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years. we have a 3 year old son together and we rarley fuss or fight, but he will not ask me those4 little words "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" help me or give me advice about what to do?

have you talked to him about your desire to be married one day? he may be afraid of committment. if a man can have sex with you, live with you, be fed by you, etc., then he's getting all the goods for nothing. why marry when you can get it all without the committment? don't know if that's your situation, but likely he's not thinking about it because he's getting all the benefits of being married without actually having to go all the way.
by the way, if he's not interested that probably will not change anytime soon. it may be time to move on if you truly want to be with someone who wants to marry you. never force it. that will come back to bite you in the butt sooner or later.

You know that little saying, Why buy the cow when the milk is free? If he is getting everything he wants right now, why should he? Besides, chances are, he's not ready, even if you are. And as to what you should do, it depends, if you want to stay and wait it out, it could be a long wait. You might want to mention it to see where his head is at on the subject and based on what he says, you might have your answer. Good Luck!

Well you live with him and have given birth to his child, you have sex with him and probably do the household stuff just like a wife would do, so why would he want to make a legal comittment to you? Men are like that nowadays and that's why I have my married guy on the side to make love with and maintain my strict no sex before marriage to any man that I am serious about and want as a husband. It might sound odd, but it's the approach i am trying as everything else I have tried hasn;t gotten me a husband.

First marriage, then children. If he gets what he wants without any commitment then why would he do anything different.
