Men love my small dog, but they kind of look funny walking him.

No, guys can also have toy dogs. if it wasn't for my guy we wouldn't have our min pin. he wanted to get a doberman but i told him his crazy, we have 2 kids and we don't need a big dog like that. But he loves our dog he bought him a spike collar and always takes him for walks. everyone always ask him what kind of dog it is, and they all enjoy looking at him. also my sister has 2 mini beagles and her husband takes them on walks all the time he even falls asleep hugging them. LOL! Also i friend has a tea cup chiuawa and her husband takes that dog everywhere, one time they even took it to church and he is a guy, he is not gay! so what ever u like. it's ok.

I see know reason that a man can not have a toy dog. I know men that travel a lot and they like The company and a toy dog is the best one in the Truck and they still have room to move around

Small dogs are great; they make a lot of noise when you have an intruder, then stay out of the shot pattern when you let loose with both barrels of the 12-guage. Rottweilers leaping at the throats of burglars sometimes get shot by mistake.

If that's what they like, why shouldn't they have one? My hubby loves my little dog. An animal needs love, no matter what size it is. So do people. If a man has room in his heart for a pet, more power to him, regardless of the size of the dog.

Toy dogs are for girly-men.
I wouldn't want a dog Miss Kitty can beat up, and she's afraid of chickens! If a cat is afraid of a chicken but can beat up your dog, there is something rotten in Denmark.

my son has a small dog . Small dogs make good pets if you don't have alot of room or if you want one that can sit in a chair with you. My son is 6'5" and walks his dog all the time.

Considering the fact that toy dogs were originally bred as security for male nobility in China, I think guys can own them. In fact, I've known several very studly, straight guys that do. They own them the same way you'd have fish or cats or birds.

Sure, small dogs are starting to get more acceptable for men-
Chihuahuas are cool (esp if you're Hispanic)
Jack Russell Terriers and Fox terriers are sporty
I think Poodles and Schauzers are still out...
