And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord Thy God, and Him only shalt thour serve.

Does this help you out in a time of Need? it does me....

Yes, and I mostly like this scripture:

Revelation 21:3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Notice the words: "Him ONLY." Jesus did not say "US only," or "Him and I only."

John 4:23 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM"

Notice: "worship the FATHER," not "worship the Father AND THE SON." Also notice: "worship HIM" not "worship US" or "worship ME."

How could Jesus pbuh possibly make it more clear than that? What abstract meaning are we now going to concoct for this verse to show that what Jesus "really" meant was "worship BOTH of us"?

Still many Christians worship Jesus. We cannot say what Jesus did not say. We cannot conclude what Jesus did not conclude.

1 John 4: 3

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti christ, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is in the world.
