I wouldn't feed my dog potted meat. It has all kinds of yucky stuff in it. Stick to dog food. I was giving my dog people food and she would throw up a lot. I learned that onions are really bad for dogs. I started reading labels and noticed that most people foods are full of onions or onion powder. This was basically killing my pup. Something about onions affecting the red blood cells. Since I changed to only giving her dog food, she hasn't thrown up once...

I almost thought he got into your dinner, too! It made me recall a friends dinner that ended up costing a couple thousand dollars because her cat ate a plateful of spaghetti when they got up because her daughter had hurt herself... Anyway. I don't see why a little bit would hurt him. Just a little, maybe on top of his food (reduce the amount of his food given, of course). But don't give him the entire pot in one day. That might make him a bit sick. Sorry that only two people showed. I hate when I cook a lot of food for an event expecting a lot of people to show... and only a few do.

dogs will eat jsut about anything. Potted meats have a very strong scent and dogs will go nuts just smelling it.
