Sure it looks straight and shiny, but don't you think the iron makes your hair look thin and stringy? Maybe it's just me, but hair is about the puff and fluff to hold on to.

I don't know, some girls just have naturally stringy-looking hair. Sometimes it looks so straight it looks as if they need to wash it.
Mine's curly because I permed it years ago but it's much harder to handle curly because it gets frizzy. So I just straighten it instead; it doesn't look stringy though, it has body from the perm but it's still straight :)

cuz my hair looks like a freakin MONSTER if i dont straighten it. one time i went to a pool party and we went swimming and then we got out and my hair dried and started to puff up and some of my friends call me mufasa lol. that is why I straighten my hair and it doesnt look stringy it just looks straight. it just depends on the way you do it and the products you use

Well, my hair isn't thin or limp, I have thick hair, and it's not really stringy - my hair is kind of rough/coarse but still soft. Straightening my hair only makes it straight, not stringy or thin. :D

alot of the time is not the straighteners that do it but the stylist who cut the hair. I straighten my hair and its definately not thin or stringy!

I dont do it offten because it is very damaging, but I do love to straighten my hair and get LOTS of compliments when I do. sometimes i am in the mood for straight, and sometimes I am in the mood for curly............

we do it or atleast i do it....mainly because I'm sick of the same old ponytail or my same old wavy hair...i do it because i want a new hair do that i admire...sure i love my hair wavy but i also like it straight it gives it a little more shine!

I do not do that at all.
I enjoy my hair just the way it is.
Unhealthy,heat damaged hair looks horrible.
