I want to find out more information about having my pet tattooed. Is there a web site that has pictures of pets reunited with their owner

did you know that more than 2,000,000 pets are lost or stolen each year most are never found. Theor tags are removed and if its a pure breed how can you prove that its your pet if it has no permant marking. So which is more cruel to let it wonder around until what ever happens or some one mistreated it. Its sold to a research lab or 5 minutes for a tattoo that could save its life

there are 7 diffirent kinds of chips if you do not have the right equipment it will not read it each chip requires diffirent scanner. No one that I know has a scanner but you can see a tattoo also the pet would be registed with this company.

In reply to other answerers: the asker doesn't mean tattoo like a human would get tattooed. Animals can be tattooed with an identification number that, if they are lost and then found, will identify them so they can be returned to their owner. It is pretty common. New technology, however, has made it more convenient and useful to have a microchip implanted that would identify the pet when brought to any humane society location or veterinarian.
Talk to your vet. He or she will be able to give you all the information, as well as price range, procedure, etc.

you can get a chip, then anytime it gets lost thay just scan it with a scanner like at a grocery store and all your info pops up.

tattooed? If you are doing this because they are outdoor. Keep them inside! I would never let my babies outside they could be killed by mean people, crazy drivers or other animals...Other than that you are an idiot and shouldnt own a pet

i would think thats like rape...they cant concent to being tattooed. now i am not opposed to it i plan in getting them
