I was wondering if there were such things as water ticks. Because today I was at the lake and I wanted to know if I needed to worry about ticks in the water. My friends did not know so I decided to come to this.

I've never heard of a bug called a "water tick". I do know that ticks are hard to kill and can survive in the water for a little while until they can find a host. Anytime you are outdoors near a wooded area or tall grass it is best to check yourself for ticks after your outing bcz they carry some nasty diseases.
