Atheism is a religion but they do not believe in a God, but they do believe in nature, meaning they use nature as a reason why things are like it is, they just belive things occured natural! The Chinese happend to be an Atheist state, which has the religions of Confusism, Daoism, and Hinduism, they are religions but they are practices that observe the reason things happend, but they do not believe in a God, so the real true answer to your question is that yes Atheism has religions, but it is not the name of a religion, but it is a religion practiced with beliefs not using a God!

I tend to allow people and groups their self-definitions. Since atheists generally prefer to think of themselves as outside the realm of religion, I accept that self-definition, and thus share their view of themselves as non-religious.
I would note, however, that atheism shares with theism one thing in common:both are a point of view which has to be accepted largely without strong evidence in nature. A dispassionate and objective point of view would be agnosticism - which concedes that the anthropic character of the universe allows the possibility and may even hint at a god, but in the end, does not and cannot prove or demonstrate an extra-universal deity.
Other points of view - atheistic or theistic - pretty much require... well can't avoid the provocative word this time - a kind of faith.

That depends on what you mean by religion.
1. belief in and worship of God or gods. In this case the answer is no.
2. a philosophy of life. In this case, the answer is yes. And it takes quite a lot of FAITH to accept atheism.

Having a lack of belief is Agnosticism, not Atheism.
Atheism is more than just a lack of belief. Atheism is the *certainty* that there is no God.
I would say that for almost all Atheists, their Atheism is not a religion.
However, it is fair to say that to truly take an Atheist position is an act of faith - they are willing to accept as true something (the non-existence of a God) for which there is no proof. That is a leap of faith.

The easiest way to avoid a relationship with God, is to deny his existance. But not all atheists deny God's existance, some doubt that he's concerned about us. Ben Franklin felt this way.
Religion is an effort to join man and God. Think of it as a covenant. So no, atheism is not a religion, it's a denial.

No, I don't think that Atheism could possibly be a religion. For something to be considered a religion, there has to be some sort of set belief/faith system, which Atheists lack. My father is an Atheist and he definitely doesn't consider himself a religious man.

Theism is the belief in the existance of god or gods and atheism is the opposite of that. So by rejecting belief in a god or gods, then you reject organized religion thereby rejecting any religion. So no, it is not a religion. It is a belief.

No.
No more than bald is a hair colour.
EDIT: Atheism is not a cult, nor is it a philosophy of life.

Atheism is simply the lack of belief in a god or gods. Nothing more. Atheist don't even believe that there is no god, they simply don't belive in one.
