Alcoholics anonymous or narcotics anonymous do not cost anything. It is completely voluntary, and you attend the meetings on your own time.It is not an inpatient program.i am a member of A.A. and have been clean/sober for over a year ONLY because of this program and the people in it that sincerely WANT to help.Nearly any inpatient rehab ultimately will send you there anyway so why not just cut out the middle man!Basically you will work at your own pace in this program. When you first attend a meeting what you will see is a group of people sitting around a table or several tables most of the time individuals with take turns discussing issues that involve your particular addiction as well as and most importantly solutions to the problem or problems. There is a 12 step outline which is a program of suggestion. There are absolutely NO musts in this program only suggestions. My advice to you is to follow these suggestions to best of your ability to obtain the best results.Personally I think it's the best help available today.I had previously been to 5 rehabs and 1 year at a halfway house and this is the best!Hope you check it out and good luck!
