I want to color my hair myself, but I am afraid I will miss some spots in the back.

make sure you have enough color like maybe two boxes, and start and the top and work your way down...plenty of dye is the key.

It depends on the color you're choosing. But for the most part start with the body of your hair because it takes longer to process, then apply to the roots last because the bodyheat will process the hair on your scalp.

If money is the key factor in wanting to do it at home, see if there are any nearby beauty schools or colleges that have a cosmetology department. It won't be as cheap as buying it yourself, but it will be done correctly with no missed places.

I speak from experience. Doing it at home can lead to disaster.

Color the top and the bottom and you probably need to get more than one color.Use that new John Frieda color. Its beautiful and keeps hair shiny and sleek.

put news paper on the floor so the dye doesn`t stain anything
