The testimonies of manhood and womenhood are often neglected by todays so called "church". Rarely do men know that males are supposed to be a living testimony of Christ. Just as rarely do women know that females are to be a living testimony of the redeemed Church of Christ. Such truth is portrayed in the indisputable writings of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians:

Ephesians 5:
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Verse 21 bluntly clearifies that we are to care for each other, and submit to the needs of one another. Paul further explains that the relationship of husband and wife is the same as that of Christ and His Church. Therefore, let the man love and take care of his wife as Christ does the Church, and let the wife honour and obey her husband as the Church does Christ.

This is an often neglected topic in today's modern teaching, because it isn't politically correct. However, Christ nor His Apostles were politically correct. As Peter states:

ACTS 5:29 Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Politics, including feminism and political correctness have no place in the Church of Christ. No Apostle or early heads of the Church ever tried to update Christ's doctrine to the standards of Society. Think about it, you fools, if sinners are to define holiness, then who isn't holy? If sinners are to define sin, then who needs the sacrifice of Christ?

And for those who think that Christians cannot correct, judge, or rebuke, why does the Spirit of Christ through Paul say otherwise?

2TIMOTHY 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

My Bible reads it like this: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

What Paul is speaking of is just good common sense. Please understand that Christianity was brand new then and people were having to learn how to adapt. One of the things they had to adapt to was that women and men worshipped together, an unheard of thing in Judaism. As you can imagine, women were constantly asking "what's he talking about" when it came to Paul preaching, so he wanted to let the women know they needed to go home and ask their husbands, not ask in the middle of church lol.

As to the authority, that IS the way it's supposed to be, the man is to be the head of the family and have the authority. As we all know, even in modern times, if the woman takes over the man's authority (usually because he doesn't know how to be a leader) it just doesn't work in a marriage. The woman gets crabby at having to do all the things the man is supposed to be doing. And as we all know - when momma ain't happy, nobody is happy!

I love it when people use bible verses. so fine, From the book of Tanja, Chapter 1 verse one:
And Lo, did the voice of Tanja Speak, Saying A woman is the bringer of life, for it is from woman a life begins. Just as the child is to obey the mother, Man should also obey Woman.
1:2 For this is the will of the Goddess, that Women have Authority over a man. For a woman is gifted with insight likened to the gods, which is called intuition. this is the gift of women, and a man should ever be attentive to the words of woman.

The voice of Tanja has spoken.
guess what, my verses have just as much reliability as your bible as being the word of God(dess)

Should 1 Tim. 2:12 have authority? I don't even think it was written by Paul. Take a look at all the women he mentions in various greetings. He refers to Phoebe as a deacon, and what about Priscilla who was referred to as an apostle? By the time 1 Tim. was written the church was well on its misogynistic way.

I think their should be mutual understanding, and this requires equality between both genders. You must remember that the Bible was written a long time ago, and things were very different for women back then. I don't think this scripture actually degrades women, it's just instructing women to follow their man.

No, nor should a man have authority over a women. Stop using written text to back up your own morals.

The Bible is filled with allegories and teachings. I'd be more interested in learning about who translated your Bible before I'd follow it word-for-word. Bible quotes, like the one you gave, have been used to opress women for ages. Instead of sex dictating authority, it should be the knowledge and spirit of the individual.

Well, I did want to point out that Paul wrote this passage when there was alot of dissention in the early church due to gossip and women stiring up all types of lies. I think that women should be allowed to be ambassadors of Christ. One of the most dynamic preachers I know is a woman. And her life and her humility is a testament to her devotion to Christ. Now, I DO believe that women should honor their husbands. I am a Christian young woman and as independent-spirited as I am, I realize that my husband is my spiritual head. And God is his spiritual head. I have faith in the Father and trust that He will lead him in the right way in all of our matters. I used to have a problem with that. In my family, what my mother said was what was adhered to and I subconsciously picked up that same spirit. To be completely real with you, I still struggle to this day. But I remind myself daily that no matter what my husband decides that my Heavenly Father is in charge of him. And I know that He will protect me, no matter what.

Absolutely preposterous .We have come a long way from those times and women should have equal say in the home and in government and should always be on equal footing with her mate.
