One way is to emulate a tenderizing machine using a fork. Stab it a thousand times and it will be more tender than if you did not.

not the easiet peice of meat-slow cooked in a crock pot all day on low would have it real tender-finish in oven that is preheated to 400 to get a good look if serving as a roast on the table otherwise just cut it on a bias straight from cooker-remember to brown it off first before putting in the crock pot-chef for living-keep the peace old hippie

You need to cook it for a while. I cook mine for at least 4 hours at 325 with only water. Cook it long and at a medium heat, and keep checking it, you may need to re add water so it doesn't dry out. It will be wonderful! You can beat it with the side of a plate to break up the grain of the meat or a meat hammer. Good luck.

sprinkle on msg [ mono-sodium glutamate]..... or use a meat tenderizing malot.... and cook it slow or buy the "original london broil" FLANK STEAK... almost always tender [ if you slice it properly] albeit a little expensive

meat mallet( i may be spelling that wrong) a small kitchen hammer used for tenderizing. cover the meat w/ plastic wrap and give it a beating. you can use a heavy pot/pan too
