Here is a unique recipe from Anne's Food Blog. They're simple to make and unique as well. Which will earn you points if you plan on sharing them with a crowd.
Sunflower Cookies
200 g butter
230 g sugar
4 tbsp golden syrup
160 g flour
110 g wholewheat flour
1 ts baking powder
2 tbsp vanilla sugar
90 g sunflower seeds + 2 tbsp
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Beat butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. (Keep the butter cold and in small pieces if you use a Kitchen-Aid or similar, or let the butter become soft if you beat by hand.) Add the syrup, and stir. Mix in all the dry ingredients, except for the two extra tablespoons of sunflower seeds.
Shape into flattened logs on lined baking sheets, and sprinkle with the reserved seeds. Bake for 15 minutes. While still warm, cut into large cookies on a diagonal. Transfer to a rack, and let them cool completely.

Dump cake
1 box of yellow cake mix
2 cans of fruit pie filling, (I use cherry, but whatever you like)
1 or two sticks of margerine or butter
Pour the pie filling in the bottom of a 13"x9" cake pan.
Pour the dry cake mix on top of the pie filling and spread even.
Cover the entire top of the dry cake mix with pats of butter.
Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
Trust me, my mother has made it for years and it's the best and easiest thing you'll ever make.

The other posters have already given you lots of good dessert recipes, but for something REALLY quick and yummy...get a jar of Nutella and spread it on melba toast, or almonds, or anything crunchy. I also like pitted dates stuffed with walnuts or pistachios.

Take some chocolate chips, tin roof ice cream {Great Value}, and chocolate syrup, a cherry, and whatever else you like.
Blend everything in a blender {Except the cherries} and pour in a glass.
Put the cherries on top and eat! {or drink!}
