Yes you can. Is it good for your dog? No. while she is in pre-estrus (bleeding) all the vessels and veins are engorged with blood, along with her uterus. There is much more bleeding during the surgery, so there is an added risk. Most vets will spay while in heat, but will charge extra. The best thing to do is keep her AWAY from other dogs and when she stops bleeding, make an appointment. Thank you for being a responsible dog owner and having her spayed;)

Yes u can but it is a lot more expensive. I would make an appointment about 2 weeks from when she had her last heat. Don't wait 2 long or she will go in heat again. Good luck. Hope I helped.

I would say to wait until her heat is over. Vets tend to charge alot more if the dog is in heat because the uteris is swollen and there is alot of liquid. Also your dog will become much more moody during her heat, this may complicate things and pro-long her healing after surgery.

It can be very dangerous, most vets will tell you to wait. There are too many risks involved. If they DO choose to do it, make sure you pay extra to have a IV tube and oxygen all prepared ahead of time. I would really try and wait if I were you.
Awesome that you care enough to get her spayed.

Depends on the Vet. They usually will just do cats when they are in heat. I know mine wouldn't spay or neuter when they were in heat, but I found another that would.

It is better to wait, if you are able to keep her penned up and isolated in the meantime. You MUST isolate her. If you can't, some vets will do it while she is in heat, but it does cost more.

Most Vets will tell you to wait till she is out of heat. Normal is one week goig in, one week in, and one week goin out.

you can but there is a higher risk. due to all the blood flow to that region of her body, you would be wise to wait till she is not in heat. safety first :)
