Not all British are polite nor are they educated. Not all any people are one way or the other. The British did not "build" this country, my friend. Many people contributed. Perhaps you should examine your own rudeness, ignorance and lack of education before you point the finger at others.

I am a Southern gentleman with good manners and polite and oh yes educated as well and not all British are educated and polite. This just sounds like another of those anti American idiots with nothing better to do than insult people.

The asker is trolling and not even doing it very effectively. I'm British and love America even if I detest their government's current policy (because a true friend is willing to say when something's wrong) and have met polite and rude Americans in roughly equal proportion to polite and rude Brits, French, Germans, Russians...

In other words, we're all the same.

What did the English build here?
They were so educated and polite, that we kicked their asses, oh, arsesback to england. The last good thing to come out of england was the beatles and the stones. Would you consider Simon Cowls to be a pleasant person? He is an **** and should be expelled for what he is doing to our country. You should be expelled also, just for being you.

You can't generalize and stereotype the Brits in that fashion, that's totally unfair. Most of the Brits I've met are superficially polite and outwardly sarcastic, true some of them are very well educated, or perhaps they appear to be because they have an accent. I recently saw a Nightline report titled "The spy who loved me," in short, some Brit enamored an American lady, stole her money, deceived, kidnapped and threatened her life, after the FBI investigated he had, in the course of 8 years deceived 10 other people and stolen over 1.5 million dollars. He pretended to be some sort of spy that was working to gather intelligence and recruited his victims into his web of lies. I don't think Brits are above anyone, they are just like the rest of humanity, flawed and cunning, if American's learned anything it was to severe ties.

You know different British than I do. They act superior & assume you can say anything if you say it politely. It is still rude no matter the tone of voice. Our education is equal or superior to the British.
We learned we did not want to be ruled by pompous people, thus the Tea Party & we protect you not the other way around.

We are not all polite we are no different than the next person/country we are all as bad as one another the only real difference between the two countries is that America is better at bullshit than we are, ask Bush? I do not find you yanks any better or worse than us we both have the idiots. Lets spend the energy spent on putting each other down and go forward as one.

Not all people descended from English people. My parents are both of Irish descent and I am a third generation American. Your question only shows you are the one with no education. My family has loved this country and worked hard to build a life here. If you don't like it, you know where the door is.

I'm thinking that it's because after we kicked those tea sipping ******* out of here, we did everything we could to be different from them. From driving on the other side of the road, to ditching the metric system, and screwing up their language as much as possible without actually starting a new one.

Besides, their manners aren't that great. It's just that the accent makes you think that they're so polite.

All British are not polite and educated...and all Americans are not either. You must be British? We are all individuals...and what "we guys" learned was to be free! England is now one of our closest allies...and we appreciate them.
