I've never ridden in a taxi before but Im gonna need to take one next week to get somewhere thats about 10 miles away... How much would you expect it to cost? Just askin so I know a little bit about what to expect so im not in shock if its more then I expected heh.

Shouldn't be more than $10 (tip not included). To get the most direct route, catch a cab that's on Jackson St. Tell the driver to take Jackson to Lake Shore Drive.

on long island 12- 20 bucks... but all you have to do is call your cab company to find out... sometimes the locations involved[ from what sector to what sector have more to do w/ pricing than the exact milage.. sometimes when a cab has a meter. the meter keeps running even when you are stopped in traffic.. so time can also be a factor.

In Sacramento, it should set you back $15-20. If you call the cab company ahead of time, they will quote you a price.

its called a point to point price its easy call a day or two ahead and order it and get a flat rate then tip the driver on top and get several prices to the place
