I am a christian and my life belongs to Jesus Christ..

I have woke up while I was asleep and couldn't move a muscle and felt a evil force trying to hold me down and take over me, and I had to start praying to God to help me.

Has anyone else done this?

Yes. It's happened. I was not a Christian at the time, so I thought for a long time that I was sought by the Devil. Now that I read/listent to scripture, I understand all humanity is sought by the devil. Cast all fear and worry unto Him. God is your strength and refuge. SPEAK out loud the name of Jesus the Christ, and remember that scripture tells us the God leads us with his left hand and holds us with his right hand. Did you know that God loves you ALL the time? Even when we're not being as Christ-like as we should? Cling to Him. It will go away. You are a co-inheritor of Heaven with Jesus. That means YOU have the power to banish the demons that dwell here, YOU can heal the sick. Walk in faith, my sister! Because whether or not people believe in Christ, we will all have to stand in judgement in front of God someday. Our time on this earth is limited, so... when you become a light in this realm, of course you will attract the attention of Satan. Keep your armor up, and discipline yourself to thoughts of God. God does not promise this will be easy, He just promises to be with us, and if we ASK (out loud), He will be there too, fighting for us.

Yes that's the same thing that happened to me...i woke up in the middle of the night, and a small voice told me to get up. I was too lazy, and my brain kept telling me get up, get up. The voice got louder and louder. But I was just like, NO im tired don't feel like gettin up. and then it happened; something was holding me down, i was paralyzed, couldnt even move my lips. i remembered a story my mom told me, and in my head thought in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command you to leave. After thinking it a couple times, my lips softened, and I whispered. Eventually my mouth could open, and I gave a yell out to God. And then it left; I could move. I looked over at my window curtains, and they rustled a moment, then stopped. I know this was not the wind.... Then I picked up my Bible and started reading it, thanking God for being there for me whenever I needed Him and watching over me. I believe this was a test of my faith.

What you experienced is not an Evil force. It is actually quite common. When you enter what is called REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, your body is purposedly paralyzed to prevent you when acting out your dreams and perhaps hurt yourself. However, sometimes we wake up during REM sleep, and thus feel that we cannot move our body. Once your brain has the chance to get out of the REM sleep cycle, you regain the ability to move again.

So don't worry. You're fine.

It's not an evil force, its called sleeping paralysis. Its where ur brain wakes up before ur body and ur body is still sleeping so u can't move it. Me and my dad have it. I get it sometimes. Its quite scary. If it happens try move ur fingers, toes and head to wake ur body up. It's not an evil force its just ur body hasn't woken up yet.

Actually hon, I think this is a medical condition. A friend of mine experienced a similar problem and consulted her doctor, it turned out to be a neurological and sleep disorder.

But yes, there are also times when evil comes to us, and you should not try to fight it, you should flee into the arms of God.

I watched a show on this....It is actually some sort of a condition in your brain.....Was there like a demon sitting on your chest or something like that? I'm sure it can be very scary but maybe you should talk to a pshychologist about this because your body could be trying to tell you something........
