Well maybe your step dad is doing a lot of things your real dad dosent do. Also, if you spend more time with your step dad then thats probably part of it. Think of it this way, atleast you like our step dad. Some people really dislike their parent(like me). So the fact that you love your Dad and step dad is something really good. Just stay optimistic.

No it is not bad to love your step-dad. Remember that your real Dad loves you too, even though he does not live with you. Try to realize that love comes in many different forms, you probably feel closer to your step-dad because you are with him every day, don't feel guilty for this, but try to never disrespect your real dad and hurt him by saying that you love your step-dad more when you are upset with him. I am glad that you have excepted your step-dad into your life, being a "step" is one of the hardest things there is to be. I know my kids were raised by a very loving "step" Dad too

I have the same problem....just remember that your dad was there before your stepdad, and keep it good with both of them, being sure to show the same amount of love.

Don't feel bad. If it really bothers you allot why don't you sit down with your dad and talk to him and tell him how you feel. If you have already tried that than give your father a card letting him know you love him and that you want to start doing things with him. Maybe your dad is jealous because you might love your step father more than him so he pushes you away to the point you feel not close to him. i have a step mom and a step father I love my real parents more then them. But i always show love to them anyway but my step parents always get mad at me because they feel that i love my real parents more than them. but it true one way but not true the other way. I think if they really listen to us it would have been better between us. but i have told them but most parents don't like to be wrong. But i am a mother of two girls and i don't mind being wrong i love to learn and try to build relationship better. that what i tell my parents everyday. things getting better little just have to keep trying.

No.You love your dad too. That's all that matters.I don't know all the details, but if your stepdad does more for you or spends more time with you(than your "real dad"), then you probably feel closer to him.Just let them both know you love them both, for the different dad's that they are.Lucky you to have two dads that love you!!Never feel guilty about that!

don't feel guilty that you have a stronger bond with your step dad than your real dad
but don't keep comparing them either
just accept that you have a different relationship with each of them and move on from that.
and whatever you do don't tell either of them who you prefer - just say that you love them 'differently' which is true without being damaging to anyone

You can love them both - love is not something that becomes less when spread around. Just appreciate them both for who they are and be glad you have two great dads.
