I pour myself some water and put it close to the light. I can see things floating around!!!!!!!!! Yeah, i no gross! Here in North Florida we get the water from the St. John River and it tastes pretty good. I lived out in the country side before moving to town and it was well water from the aquifers. It actually tasted awful with a sulfur taste. The neighbors told me they never drank it in the 13 years they had lived there, but always used bottled water.
I lived in Hawaii for many years and in truth, the city water there was the best I ever tasted as it was from constantly fresh reservoirs replenished by the mountain rains.

Well, it depends on how it was treated.
Countryside water, in the old days before factories started polluting it, was good fresh water. Nowadays, even well water may not be that good due to fertilisers, acid rain draining through the soil and other pollutants.
If your countryside is in some far-from-civilisation place, e.g. in the himalayas, then it is okay. Otherwise, the taste of the water depends on its treatment method.

Honestly, you can get much better tasting water from a well, but the water isn't treated, so you have no idea what you are getting. Well water may taste better, but I just get frightened thinking about what's in it. I only drink bottled water. Sorry.
On an ironic note, the worst tasting water I have ever had from a municipality was in Sweetwater, Texas.

Best water I ever tasted was trickling out of a hillside in the middle of nowhere with little ferns growing all around it, a sheep-bitten grassy bank close by and a metal cup on a chain. Boy! That was a hot day!

The really sweet thing is, that in the country you can actually find fresh water springs and have that water pumped into your house. So the water that people pay millions of dollars to buy in a bottle, can get pumped straight into your house if you live in the country.
