I think personality. If i walk by someone and they are doing something funny or having a blast with friends, i am automatically interested in meeting the person no matter how they look.

Well honestly, most people look at the outer appearance first, and then that ultimately leads to getting to know thwm and their personality. In my opinion, it should be both, because you wouldn't want to be with someone that may be the most handsome man on earth, but if he cant hold your attention its no good!!1

The looks are the first thing I notice because you have to know the person to know their personality. But if I know the person really well then personality but if I really don't know them a whole lot then looks. I'm not talking about gorgeous guys either I'm talking about how they present themselves, how they dress, how they act, etc...

if you pass someone in the street - obviously it is their look you notice first - but all girls have something sexy about them - be it their eyes, their legs, their shyness, their boldness --- so a lot of things can catch your eye - too many girls dont realise that they will always have something sexy about them and it doesnt have to be the classic things!!!
as soon as you start talking it is always personality - have you noticed that sometimes when you talk to someone you then start noticing how attractive they are? or conversely you think - hmm they are not that good looking after all?

I would have to say looks. That what catches peoples eye. Then comes the personality if they let you get close enough to see it.
