Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Yes, riding a stationary bike is certainly a good form of exercise and therefore good for weight loss. The calorie burn is up there, just below running. For a 160 pound individual, 5 minutes at a moderate effort burns 42 calories. You can use this tool to estimate your level of effort.

Also, consider using other sources of exercise. Stationary bikes work your quadricep muscle, while running works the hamstring and glutes. But I think stationary bikes are a great weight loss tool if you follow a healthy diet along with keeping the intensity high on the bike.

Good luck.

It can be beneficial if you do not do too much and it is done as a part of a whole approach to achieving a positive physical change.

Weight loss is really not what you want...you don't want us to surgically remove some body part right? You really want fat loss. Fat loss is a 3-step process.

Fat has to be liberated from a fat cell
Transported to a muscle cell and
Burned in the mitochondria of a muscle.

That is how fat is lost.

To meet step one you eat smaller meals every 3-4 hours.
The meals have to support continuous fat release...which means they have to be made up of certain foods.

Step two means your cardiorespiratory system has to be running optimally...a moderate amount of bike will do that...

Step three...muscle is the place on the body where fat is burned. So you want to protect, stimulate and even build a little muscle. If you add a little muscle you speed your fat burning and gain a little tone.

Those are the 3 basic components that must be a part of any strategy focused on a health and fitness goal in order for it to bring about a positive physical change.

- Supportive nutrition
- Moderate aerobic exercise
- A concern for muscle

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!
