God designed his intelligent creation (angelics and mankind) with volition, which is the will to make a choice or decision, else we would all be robots who are pre-programmed to worship Him. Rather, we are able to love Him and obey Him because we CHOOSE to.
Eve CHOSE to listen to someone give her very bad advice. Then she CHOSE to act upon it. Since it is God's will that we have a will, he allowed her to make those choices That's all fine and good and sounds fair. However, there are consequences for our choices. This is true in every aspect of life.
If a cougar kills a deer, he has dinner. If he doesn't, he starves. Actions bring about consequences, whether positive or negative. If a student does his homework, he will get a good grade. If he doesn't, he will get a poor grade. If a thief robs a bank, he will likely go to jail. If an honest man works, he will be paid. Action (choice)...consequence.
God has designed us all with a built in system of being able to distinguish right from wrong. There are many of us here to disagree on theological matters. However, I venture to say that most of us are loving toward our mother. Most of us love our siblings and if any one did anything to harm them, we would be out to defend them. Most of us would not sneak over to our neighbor's home in the middle of the night and steal their belongings. Most of us, hopefully all, would not think of taking another person's life. We would not just walk down the street and decide to stab someone. These acts are unthinkable...why? Because God's eternal laws guide the universe...these laws are what establishes morals and are the basis for the knowledge of right and wrong.
Why don't animals have this capacity? Because God didn't design them that way. They are not equipped with a sense of moral responsibility and knowledge of right and wrong. He gave them limited reasoning powers, while he gave mankind significant reasoning powers...more than enough to know that He is God.
So, because God gave us volition, we can choose. We can make right choices and receive good consequences, or we can make wrong choices and receive bad consequences. He gave us the ability to choose right, but also, a will to choose otherwise, because there will be no pre-programmed robots in eternity. Rather, only those that chose not to reject God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
The consequences for rejecting God and demonstrating outright disrespect and disdain for Him are very grim. Just like Eve ate the fruit, many are living their lives as they please, some even shaking their fist toward heaven. God did not prevent Eve from eating the fruit, and will he not prevent anyone else from defying him in their short life. HOWEVER, Eve paid a price. And so will all who oppose God.
Actions...consequences.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 3:23
There are the two options. Now, which choice will you make? Your life depends upon it.
"...I have set before you life and death...CHOOSE life..." Deuteronomy 30:19

Eve cannot be blamed when Adam was the senior partner and should have been minding his home.
Man is created with freedom to choose good or evil, but Christianity, arising from Mithraism, is a male religion, where the male does not want to accept his responsibility and he therefore blames it all on the woman.
You cannot punish someone if he/she does not have a choice, nor can you reward the one who has no choice.
There is no such thing as someone dying to free you of sin, since this wouldeny all reward or punishment, and none will make tthe effort to do what is right.
Eve was only the mate, not the man.

Eve lived in a state of perfect enviroment but she became bored.
When it was suggested to her " that the only reason God did not want them to eat of this tree was they would become as smart as God , she became arrogant , the thought was put into her mind but she made the choice her mind began to fester on it and go against God"s authority.
God is a God of love but He is also a God of justice.
Why didn't God protect the tree?.
Mankind were created with their own volition freedom to choose.
God warned them not to eat of the tree but the warning was not heeded .
The 2 trees represented the 2 sides of the angelic conflict.
Satan revolted against God because of arrogance he wanted then and now to be like the" Most High" Isaiah14:14.
Evil comes from satanic propoganda and man's old sin nature.
Hope this helps .
Take care!

Eve was thoroughly deceived by Satan the Devil, but "Adam was not deceived"says the apostle Paul(1Tim2:14).Satan knew from his observations that Eve was the newer creation and the weaker one spiritually. And so he knew she would probably be a easier target. However, even though Eve was deceived, she still would have known that she should have checked with her husband first as he was the head of the family. Also Eve could see everything that Jehovah had done for them and given them. But the desire to be like God tempted her.
Adam and Eve had trees of every kind of fruit imaginable to eat from. From the countless trees in that garden, there was only one that he forbad them to eat or even touch. There was nothing unreasonable about the request. As their Creator and Sovereign Ruler,God reserved the right to determine or set the standards of good and bad.The tree served as a test of their
obedience. No doubt had they passed they would have also been allowed to partake of the tree of life..
Jehovah God gave our first human parents besides perfect health,a paradise garden and everything they could possibly want or need, the gift of free will.So they not only had everything imaginable but they could also make their own decisions. It was their choice to disobey God.Jehovah instructed them as to what would happen if they were to disobey him.God cannot be blamed for their poor decision making.
It is noteworthy to add that God did not create the Devil. The perfect angel son of God that chose to be Satan(meaning Resister) and Devil(meaning Slanderer) also chose to misuse his free will and coverted the worship that belonged to Jehovah and that desire became sin. After he sinned he became Satan the Devil.God cannot create evil. There is no evil in Him.All his creations were perfect. And yes, while He knows the end from the beginning,He choses not to.He as given man free will to make their own choices and decisions.
And while His original purpose has been put on hold due to the disobedience of Adam and Eve.Jehovah will fulfill his purpose in his due time and paradise will be restored and obedient mankind will be restored to perfection and enjoy everlasting life.
If you are interested in learning what the Bible has to teach us,why dont you visit your local Kingdom hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. They would be only too happy to answer your questions using the Bible and they would even conduct a free home bible study with you,if you so wished.

she knew before, because, as the fable goes, she was told to stay away from the tree. She went near it anyhow; Adam knew too; he did it anyway
God isn't infallible. If it was, there wouldn't be a Devil in the first place, according to Religion. It wasn't expecting the Devil to turn evil or whatever; it just happened. So, in an essence, God didn't create everything; evil wasn't on its list.

Eve knew what she had to do and did it. Unlike most beliefs, if Eve had not bitten the apple, none of would be here! Adam and Eve would have still been living in the garden of Eden and would not be able to have kids. Adam knew Eve was making the right choice and he let her make it. It was not a mistake. Satan's plan backfired on him.

first, God protected the tree of life from us only after the fall (when the people sinned). the reason for this is because he did not want us to eat of it and then live in our fallen state for all eternity.
second, lets not focus on the fact that eve ate the fruit. Actually, Adam ate the fruit as well. who ate it first does not seem important to the person who wrote the book of genesis.
third, it is true that evil existed in the garden before they ate the fruit, after all the serpant existed already. but in humankind, there was not yet sin (rebellion against God in anyform - rejecting his rule, not loving him as he does us, etc)
forth, if God did not let us eat of the fruit (or reject him in any way) then we would be a bunch of robots walking around. and God wants us to love him for his amazing beauty and love - and choose to love him for it, not be forced into it.
fifth, the story of genesis can be reasonably understood if you carefully read the intention of the author. it is not a book about how the beginning of the world came about, as much as it is abook displaying how God is deeply interested in us as humans and how he desires to be in personal relationship with each and every one of us.
if you go and read genesis 1-11 with a good commenetary (there are heaps around. a commentary is a book that goes through part of the bible commenting on interesting and important things to notice in a particular passage of the bible), then you will discover that the whole book is about Gods unending love for us, and our utter and arrogant rejection of him. the rest of the bible (from soon after the beginning of Genesis, is Gods rescue plan and how it unfolds despite all our efforts to sabotage it.
its a great read, have a go at it one day.

She knew before. God told her NOT to eat the fruit, told them they would be punished if they did. The "serpent" Satan, tricked her. He told her God wouldn't really punish them, and she believed him.
Kinda like a child. When a parent says "You cant have a cookie or you'll lose your favorite toy" and tha kid sneaks a cookie, and his mom takes his toy away. He KNEW it was wrong before he did it, chose to risk the punishment, and got caught.
The tree was not protected as a test. God gave them specific instructions, and free will. To see if they would choose to listen to him, or sin instead.
Things are not the way God wanted them to be. He never wanted Adam and Eve to sin, and he wants us all to believe and follow him. Things are this way because we were given the one thing nothing else was, Free Will. We, starting with Adam and Eve, have made things the way they are. "We" did it to ourselves.

Eve knew it was bad, but she could not bear to take instructions from a man so she moved forward. Supposedly god didn't know how things should be but was more on the track of "learn as you go" so I don't think it was a setup.

EVE was decieved, Adam went into it with eyes wide open.... Eve could'a been reclaimed after she blew-it, but Adam blew it too, so they had to wait for JESUS to DIE on the CROSS.
We are in the same boat with Adam and Eve, we can chose just like them, FREE-WILL is exactly what it means, FREE-WILL.
Devil knows alot, dosen't know all that GOD knows, but he would like you to think he does. Devil is an angel, not a HUMAN BEING, angel is a piece of Spiritual Hardware(servant) of GOD, and has a certain kind of FREE-WILL, but not as broad as ours.
