the easiest foods for your body to process are pure meats and vegetables. high fiber fruits and vegetables pass through your body and clean out your digestive system... and pure meats like grilled chicken or fish give you quick energy but they last longer than sugars without the crash. The glycemic index of a food relates to how quickly the calories from that particular food are burned up or metabolized. Foods with a high index burn up quickly. Those with a low index burn up slowly. High glycemic foods are those that come from white sugar or white flour products.
