two things have been happining to me lately

1) i have been experiencing a ringing in my ear randomly during the day, always in my right ear, and it slowly fades away

2) also random throughout the day, i can feel and hear a pulsing in mny ear that slowly fades away

these sumptoms are not triggered by loud noises or anything they are compleatly random throughout the day, but only in my right ear

my mom says it is because i wear headphones too much, but my frineds wear headphones sooooo much more than me, and they dont have any problems, and also, if the headphones were the problem, wouldnt i be experiencing these symptoms in both ears?

you don tget the side effects till AFTER you have listened to loud music or headphones.
I know they are convenient and cool but you can slowly over time damage your ear drum amd cause loss of hearing.
Also do you ride on the right side of the car withthe window down ( since its your right ear.) that can also cause the problem.

Try not using your headphones for a while ( few weeks ) and see if the problem starts to go away.

You do want to be careful or you will end up with permanenet ringing to where it will drive you crazy!!!!

Go to an audiologist for a hearing test. I have a profound hearing loss, and experience the ringing in ears constantly which pisses me off. It means your ear hair cells picked up sound, but it can't process it correctly, and thus results in the annoying ringing soung. You might have damaged hair cells in your right ear, which if you keep up the loud music, can result in hearing loss. And it doesn't happen to everyone. Otherwise, way more people would have hearing issues than there is today.

Joey, this could be perfectly normal even if it is only in your right ear. Sometimes it's from sleeping on one side only. Sometimes it's from swimming (water in the ear), or from having a cold or a sinus infection. The only way to find out for sure what is happening, is to be examined by a doctor. Hearing isn't anything to mess around with; hope you make an appointment soon.

just turn your music down lower, you are at risk of losing your hearing but its not gonna happen tomorrow, the more you work at preventing it the less chance youll get it.
