I'm 13 years old and looking for a summer job. It seems the only thing available for my age is babysitting. I'd like to know what I should put on a advertisment that i would hang up in public places. Should I put my full name? Where should I put the advertisements? I am a relatively new babysitter and don't have to many refrences, but websites I have read say thats the most important part. I really would like to make this a succesful summer job so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

but... you have experience with kids, you have cpr training (if you do), and put something that will attract them like "free trial sitting" so you can go in and meet the kids and spend a few hours with them and they can rate how compatiable you are with them, and if they like you.
put the ads at the community centre and around nice neighbourhoods that you'd want to be hired in.

First get your references no matter how many there are: then get personality references like teachers-worship teachers-athletic teacher to recommend that you are a level headed person. remember to list any classes you may have had and where regarding the babysitting do's and don'ts. Do not list your full name. tell if you have older brothers and sisters or younger..list the hobbies you like, and later when they call you make sure you have a list of questions- and note pad for important numbers- have you had first aid/cpr? are any of your family members or friends in the nursing field or Dr? later also ask about allergies- shelters for weather needed and fears of the child.perhaps only watch one child at a time to devote your attention to him/her! .i could go on and on : ) good luck! ps check at the health dept for free babysitting classes..this may boost your calls

Put your first name. Definitely put that you have references. If you have taken a babyitting class, or CPR class or anything put that, otherwise emphasize your experience.
The public pool, libraries, daycares, grocery stores are all good places to advertise. Just put your first name and phone, don't put an address.

Are you certified? CPR? you should really take a class before babysitting. Most families want you to be somewhat competent before sitting their child.

That you have CPR training, previous experiences, and references. Good Luck.
