Okay...there is this dude at work, and he made a sign that included "or suffur the consensuses". Now, aside from his poor spelling and grammar, I tried to politely point out to him that I thought he meant "consequences", "No", he said, "because that would be a bad thing." WTF? I told him that "consensuses" isn't even a word, but he assured me that it was. I told him that maybe he was thinking of "consensus", but that it meant something different than what he was aiming for. Nope - "consensuses!" I bet him money that he couldn't find it in a dictionary. He didn't take the bet (I think because he wouldn't have been able to find it even if it WAS in there!) I even looked it up to make SURE it wasn't ME that was the idiot. It wasn't me!

Then I realized I spent ten minutes of my life arguing with this mental midget -and those ten minutes are gone forever!

Yes, arguing with an idiot is like competing in the Special Olympics...even if you do win, you're still retarded.

No. He doesn't drag you down at all. You're actually pulling him up, but you don't go down or up. It's commensalism.
