What the heck's wrong with you. Stop criticizing him when he is trying to be nice. I swear, give a girl a brick of gold and she complains about the weight.
Go figure. . .

If you're really, seriously complaining about this then the advice that I would give your guy is to dump your azz today.
About six or seven years ago I was on a date with a woman I'd known for a while. We were sitting at a little restaurant in Malibu and she answered her phone - it was a friend of hers. She chatted for a couple minutes and when it became apparent she wasn't going to hang up, I excused myself from the table, paid the check, and drove home.
She called me that night furious that I had just left her there. I told her, "look, if you're with me, you're with me. Answer your phone, fine, and if it's not an emergency tell whoever it is you'll call them back. If you don't have the courtesy to be with me when we're together I don't want to have anything to do with you."
That girl went on to become one of the all-time great booty calls. She could not get enough of me.

Well it would depend on what you are doing at that moment. I think it's rather rude for my boyfriend or date to answer his phone when we are together. I want his total attention. On the other hand, if it's a long standing relationship and we're just sitting on the couch I wouldn't mind if he answered it. On the other hand (I realize I'm running out of hands here) if he NEVER answers his phone when we are together and aren't "busy" then I'd probably be suspicious. It could be he's avoiding talking to other women or he could just want to spend time with you undistrubed as he said. Just watch the patern of his habits and follow your gutt and trust your instincts, they won't lead you wrong.

Here's what you do: just say "aww thats sweet" and pretend not to have a problem with it.
Then, call his phone from a payphone or with a calling card, so he won't know who it is, and then disguise your voice or get a friend to do this for you. Pretend to be someone else, and refer to places and times like "the other night," and "the other day," or "that one time." If he acknowledges that something happened, you know something's up. You might want to try and get more information this way.
Hope this helps.

You should be happy, because he doesnt want his time to be focused on anything else but you. Be happy you have a man that cares about you as much as he does. You dont find many men out there that wont answer his phone because he is with his girl. Your lucky and you should favor every second of it, while it last.

I'd thnk he was a gentleman. It's rude to take calls when someone else is with you.

As long as you trust him, that should be a good thing. Unless it's a call from his boss asking why he isn't at work... :)
