I've always wanted to do it before but I don't want someone stealling my money and now the child's money too.
Is there anyone out there that does it? Give money, etc?

I never thought this was fair: there's a Christain Children's Charity Funds but shouldn't there be a Christain Adult's/Parents' Charity Funds too?
It's great that the kids are getting helped but what about their families, their parents?

Christian Childern's Fund is legit. I get handwritten letters and photos from the family. I also have verification from them that their monetary gifts for like Christmas and birthdays and things get through to them in full without being skimmed. The monthly donation goes to the local program the kid is in to fund their daily meals, education etc., not directly into the kids hands. It is worth it. The website is www.christianchildrensfund.org

check out Churchworldservice.org they do a lot of great stuff and respond to disasters around the world, as well as development projects. Heifer Project is also a proven organization.

my advice , if you want to help children's with needs, do it near to you, places where you know that they really need that money, do not thrust to much in the TV announcements is not safe,and God bless you,from Puerto Rico
