I used to be in the business (behind the camera) and frankly, I don't think much either way. I've known some models to be as dumb as fence posts, and I've known some smart ambitious women who capitalized on their looks to build a good financial foundation. Some them were nice and became good friends. Some of them were a pain in the butt and I only worked with them once. Being a model doesn't make a woman any better or worse than one who isn't a model.

When I was between marriages and dating a lot, the thing that went through my mind when a woman said this was, "this could be a really great short-term, recreational thing." I was usually right.

no - as I am in the business myself I generally think she is smart because she is making a few dollars to set herself up later in life
most of the models I know are smart, funny, kind and looking to set themselves up either for education (liek me) or for later life businesses!!!
Its hard honest work so good on you!!!

actually, i never even believe it when someone says they are a model. modeling doesn't matter unless you're supermodel, everything else might as well be in a wal-mart ad.
