I mean really who leaves an answer in one word. Do they mean the question is boring or they are? If a question is boring to me I just look for another . How about you? Please no boring answers.

Personally, I believe its a case of shallow minds, lack of intelligence, reasoning, and intellect. Unfortunately, the same can be said for most of the questions out there as well.

After all, today's society is mediocre at best, people settle for quick, convenient, substandard service over not so quick top notch service.

However, there are times where a few words will do just fine.

Mostly, it is due to human nature, path with the least resistance. People wanting 2 points for nothing.

It's called gaming for points and probably should be reported as abuse. Like you if I do not feel I can contribute to the answer I move along. It's kind of like the ones that leave a * in the answer - what's that? At least boring gives us the option to decide that they thought my question was boring or they were boring but this leaves me with nothing to draw any kind of conclusion regarding. That is the misuse of an open forum. But I guess it's part of the misuse we find in all systems, regardless of what they are, some play by the rules, and some are rule breakers, and then some just do their own thing, regardless.

Because they can! They get 2 points for answering a question, deducted 5 points for asking one, 10 points for best answer. If you can get 2 points for using one word to a question that has a yes or no answer, people will do it because they can! We are trying to get to the next level, for some ungodly reason! So if the question doesn't require a yes or no answer, is interesting to answer, we will go into great detail in resolving the issue. I don't ever get bored, I choose not to do that to myself; but some of the questions are either ridiculous, lame, dirty, or don't amount to a hill of beans. I go elsewhere.

I think it's against Community Guidelines to give a non-answer just for the two points; that's point gaming. Report them if you want to.

I think if you find this, click the report abuse button next to their text and on the abuse menu, choose gaming for points.
Sad people just answer for points or because they are really annoying in real life and no one trusts them to not annoy them, so they resort to this i suppose...
