pilates won't help you lose most of your weight, its better for building muscle. Just in case your wondering, if you want to lose weight you need to do cardio.

Years ago it wasn't called Pilate's. It was called Calinetics. Like everything in life we just wait awhile and re invent the wheel and nobody will notice the difference! Well anyway, it does many good things because it is tiny motions with allot of impact inside the body. It will give you a more rounded peach looking behind and takes inches off the waist and anywhere else you work the tiny little powerful motions. It burns like hell! It will take a bit of time to adjust to the burning it creates. I would give it three months and if you don't see any difference (which i hardly doubt will happen) then chalk it up to not being for you. I really don't think you will feel this way though, it really works. Ive just got lazy over my years and have a pretty busy schedule, i bike instead now. Good Luck.

I have been doing it about a month. My legs are toner, and so it my butt. I have really good abs, and I am more flexible. I think it defined my hips more, so I guess they got curvier. I think it looks better than before.I just do a tape two or three times a week, and at first I thought this is hard I dont want to do this why am I dong this. but now it gets easier and less of a strruggle each time I do it, and I have come to love it. So just stick to it.
