"Crystal" is right. I would not hesitate to use 3M products. Made sure that this is what you want to do. After it is installed, if you don't like it, it is very difficult to remove. I recommend installing it on a window or two as a test before installing it on all of the windows in your house.

Application of this material is very tricky. A botched job looks terrible from both inside and outside your house. The biggest problem is air bubbles trapped between the glass and the film. They are easy to get and nearly impossible to get rid of. It shouldn't cost a fortune to have an experienced installer perform your work. They will bring their tricks of the trade to the table and you should get an acceptable job. You should also get a warranty on the job and will have someone to call for service issues, should they crop up at a later date.

Good luck with your project.

3M is one of the best brand names there are. You might check in to having it professionally installed. It's harder than it seems.
