The Jews don't acknowledge Jesus as their king. The Messiah/King of the Jews has not yet arrived here on earth. Which is why the Jews don't practice anything from the New Testament.
They acknowledge that Jesus was a person that walked around earth and performed Miracles, but they don't think that he is the Messiah. They are still waiting for him.
Technically, the Jews (pharasees and the people) were the ones that voted to have Jesus crucified over Barabas (a well know murderer).

Not every Christian is non-Jewish. There is a Christian station on tv that has some Jews on there that believe the Christian way. The reason Jews are not Christians is because in the Bible times it was prophesied that there was to be king that would save them. Jesus was not a real king but, theoretically he was looked at like a king because He came to "save" them. They just didn't understand what save meant.

Jesus was called the King of the Jews, that was on the cross. He was Jewish, they were expecting a messiah, that would have an earthly kingdom reign. Like King David.
We are Christians, that are adopted Jews. Once you are saved you are by the spirit able to call God Abba Father. that is because we are adopted into the Kingdom. In biblical times, when you adopted someone they were yours forever. be blessed in Christ

Jesus was not the king of the Jews, he betrayed in his fellow jews and God. Jesus was claiming to be a profit from God, he wasn't...All this does not take away the knowledge jesus had and all his powers and amazing strength, thats why he had alot of followers and thats also why christians are not jews, because Jesus wasnt jewish

Jesus didn't make christianity.....The apostiles did that. Jesus was jewish not christian.

The jews didn't accept Jesus as the Messiah.

The christians did.

"King of the Jews" was an attempt to make fun of Jesus at his crusifixion. He never said that he was litterily a king.

A king would have been King David....He was a king of the jews.

Jesus was a Jew, their Savior, Messiah, or King. Before he left the Earth, Jesus told his friends and followers to go out into the nations and preach the Word of God. Because of this, non-Jews became Christians, or followers of Christ. There are Jewish Christians, too. They are merely "reformed", as some might call it.

The real question should be that if Jesus was a Jew then why do some people still hate Jews or hated Jews historically. That is like hating Jesus for what he was but still loving him.Kind of confusing....There are converted Jews that are now Christians though.

The Romans who crucified Jesus said he was the king of the jews, not Jesus. Christianity is for every human being and brings salvation to all. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile now since we make up one faith.

Don't you think it funny, then, that all the apostles were Jewish? Also, I know Jews who've converted to Christianity. Besides, Judaism is kind of tricky since it's both a religion and a nationality. When Jews convert to another religion, I think they are gradually no longer thought of as Jewish.

While Jesus of Nazareth was Jewish, traditional orthodox Jews are still awaiting the Messiah. Their belief is that Jesus was, in fact, merely a holy man who walked the earth and preformed miracles in the name of God, but that he was NOT the actual "messiah".

Interestingly enough, Islam also acknowledges Jesus as a holy man; they, however, saw Mohammed as the Messiah.

So you have Christians; "Followers of Christ", who believe that Jesus was the Messiah; Muslims, who believe that Mohammad (born 600 years later) was the Messiah; and the Jews, who are still waiting for the Messiah. (Messianic Jews aside; and, honestly, I'm not sure I understand the concept of Jews beleiving in Jesus as the Messiah, but that's another story.)

And it was the Romans who put "King of the Jews"; the pharasees objected to the phrasing, but by that time Pontius Pilate had has his fill of the pharasees twisting Roman law to suit their needs in this case, and basically told them to stick it unless they wanted to join him. Having a sense of self-preservation, they quit arguing and let the phrasing stand.
