I am 20 and never dyed my hair before. So its always been straight black hair. Recently, I wanted to change my hair color for a nice physical change but I'm just not sure what colors would look good on me. I wish there was a website where you can go and virtually you can see yourself with a different hair color. Anyway, I want to dye my hair brown with light shades of brown highlights. I have light tan skin color and dark brown eyes and the reason why I say this is because some hispanics don't look right with some hair colors like blonde or reddish. What do yall think?

you should go to a stylist since #1 you have virgin hair, and she would take care of it well...and #2, you're unsure what you want, she could help you decide...

good luck

l am not Hispanic so I can't tell you how it effects your hair. I do know though that I am really envious of someone who has a tanned skin colour with dark hair and highlights. I think it is really pretty provided that it looks like the sun has kissed it. In other words, not too much, but enough that it looks like the sun has naturally lightened it. If you don't like it then just blend it back in. I would go for it though. Golds and red highlights have become very popular with white and woman of colour. I think it is nice that with the products of today you can now add different colour. Just make sure that you have a professional or that you buy premium products. I find with streaking my hair it does not get in bad condition because I'm not messing with my entire head. Good Luck and have fun. At 20, you can do it all.

do not hilite with bleach or ' highlighter ' mix.

have done with color! it will not turn red/orange on you.

either a neutral series which will be a tint of red or ash series which will turn more of a caramel color ( neutral. the ash color will counteract the red that your hair will naturally pull ) will suit your hair color.

only have a few foils thru the top and maybe 2 or 3 on the sides. ask the stylist to do super fine weave on the hilites. this will look more natural and you won't have to get the touch up very often.

having the same color with one mixture made with 10 volume developer and one mixture with 20 volume developer (usually an extra 10 dollars) will look FABULOUS!

I have seen Hispanic girls with hair like that, it looked nice. That is pretty much what Jennifer Lopez has, her highlights are even blondish, and it looks good on her. So long as you don't go too light. I have Italian step-relatives, similar coloring to Hispanic, and one of my cousins dyed her hair like strawberry blonde, and it looked hideous-REALLY fake & trashy looking. But a rich brown should look good on you.

I always look at celebrities that have the same skin tone and eye color as me to get an idea of what it may look like. Maybe you can try that too.

Well...I'm only 11 going on 12. You would look beautiful in light-sandy brown hair. I'm black and i am light-skinned, and my hair is light-brown and is lighter at the end of my hair. So give it a try........I'm sure you'll look great! trust me !!!!!

I would maybe try dirty blond highlights that way they are not TOO blonde but a nice dirty blonde instead of brown and then another type of brown. Thats my opion but i am sure you would look beautiful any way.

It looked really good on my hispanic friend. Just don't go too light unless you're a rocker.

The reason why is everyone with blond, why aren't you just have jet black tresses with some blonde or blonde hair with some jet black hair. Today you don't have to choose.

Go to a wig shop & try on different styles & colors, take a friend with you, this is like trying on hats, and it's fun!
