I believe in Life-Long Learning, i.e. the opportunity to keep learning new ideas and new skills, throughout your life,

Given the rapid pace of technological change, new industries arise and older ones die, within a working life-span and many people have to retrain for new careers because of this.

So the idea is that education is something you do till you are 21 and can then turn your back on, thereafter, just doesn't fit today's world of work. There are no jobs for life anymore.

Well, there's nothing weird about what I've studied. I'm a teacher/prof./translator.

At the moment I'm studying Italian because I LOVE it!! And I'd like to learn to knit to make myself some beaaaaaaaaaautiful items of clothing (but then even if I knew, I wouldn't have the time... so never mind LOL).

Ok, I know you expected something more original, but as no one had answered I felt sorry and did! :D

Camponology? I wish there were such a degree. I like my summer job (at camp) a lot better than my primary job (teaching).
