NEW CASTLE IS THE BEST!!!

Newcastle is very good I think it's from Scotland but all the good beers are from Europe. Like the Irish invented Whiskey from potato's the Austrian Empire ( Germany, Belgium etc. ) invented beer with hops and are still the best. You can argue that the question was about beer and their favourite is an ale so I'm assuming a porter or a stout or a lager are all considered beer pertaining to this particular question. So the darker the better is usually the rule. That's why the U.S.A. has only a few independent breweries that produce a decent product. Me, I love Guinness Stout and apparently so does the rest of the world. It is in fact the largest selling beer in the world, found in more countries than any other and also Irelands Largest Corporation and largest employer in the country. I was just in Jamaica and everywhere I went it was what they served to my surprise. Sorry for the tangent. Best beers Guinness, Saint Pauli girl (Germany ), Becks ( Germany ), Heinekin ( Holland ), but only the dark variety. Their still very good regular but the darks are excellent. Light beer of any kind is a last resort, it hasn't much flavour.

I like Belgian Lambics, especially Lindeman's Framboise, which is a great raspberry beer. Also tried a english beer last night made with strawberries that was tasty. Of the dark beers, I prefer Young's Chocolate Stout, which is surprisingly smooth and flavorful.

I like Guiness in the winter. A lager like 1664 or Jenlain, both French beers, in the summer. And Killians anytime.

I do not like Belgian beer. It is too sweet.

When I lived in America, first 33 years of my life, I drank Canadian beer excusively, mostly Moosehead.

I usually don't drink beer but when I do it has to be Corona with 3 limes int the neck. Nothing tastes better on a hot summer day!
