Go to a blood clinic and donate blood, that way you not only know what blood type you have, but you also get tested for aids/hiv and you help a person in need (you do know u save 3 lives everytime u donate blood) - =)

your question is vague, you mean while you are in the emergency or an accident? then the hospital will check or test your blood right there and then, to be able to save you just in case you need transfusion.
but if you just want to know, you need to request from your doctor to have laboratory work to check your blood for hematology test under cbc. this will show all the results regarding your blood type, platelets and rh factor.
there are 4 types of blood- A, B, O & AB, and then the RH factor that makes it different from others, either it is positive or negative. Type O are the universal donor and Type AB are the universal recipients.
you will inherit either one of your parents type. so if you want to know, ask both of them to ensure the correct one. example: ab+ and b+ makes the baby b+.
so if you are different type from your folks, ask them why and start checking your birth records. you need to know just in case you might need a transfusion, its better to be ahead of things as important as knowing your own.
