Or is that just a copout for not really knowing the answer? And if God only knows the answer then why do people presume to speak for him?Cat got his tongue?......I know people are going to say I am going to hell fo asking these kinds of questions(see my history of Q&A) but I really want to people to think before they answer it and use some common sense rather then avoidance to reality.Besides, I already repented today......

The fact that religions continue to this day are an indication that their doctrines and the faith of those who adhere to them are quite strong. There have always been things that people cannot answer either because knowledge or power is limited.

Society/media/law/family... all of these things are earth bound forms of judgment. God's answers, judgment, mercy, and/or forgiveness is meant for the spiritual realm or the afterlife. If you believe in such things, then you accept the answers that your mortal realm can provide until you can progress to the next. It is all a matter of faith, either you have it or you don't.

Well first, I don't believe anyone is going to hell just for asking a question. Specially if you are truly open minded to the answers you may receive. Where people go wrong is not by asking questions but more by the intent of the question. If the question is asked truly to gain knowledge and understanding then there is no problem. If the question is asked only to try to put for a personal agenda that makes others sound less intelegent then the purpose beind the question may be where some falut may lie.

But that wasn't really your questions so... my thoughts on your real questions is that I don't believe that religion is fragile as otherwise how could it have existed for so long. But you are right when there are questions that man cannot answer, mankind does tend to connect it to the almighty. But then on the flip side what does science do with questions that cannot be answered. I believe they more or less log them and ignore them and go onto something that can be solved. No better no worse. All the religious do is attribute what they don't know to being created by God.

There are many questions we cannot answer. Just because humans don't know the answer doesn't make our faith (religion) fragile. If that were the case then we would have stopped believing a long time ago. I'm not God. Therefore I don't have all the answers. He does. And truthfully, I wouldn't want to know all the answers. Just what we are able to determine about the future from bible prophecies is scary enough. Only God is capable of knowing all the answers and handling what is to come. I don't think you'll go to hell for asking these questions. I believe God wants us to ask question, to probe and study. I'm 52. My husband is 77. We are more than 1/2 way through reading the bible for the first time (from cover to cover). We've learned a lot and also have more questions. We plan to read and study it again and again. It's fascinating! I know God speaks to us about some things. And He expects us to shine His light in the world. My faith grows stronger every day. Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins? Jesus (God) told us He is the way, the truth and the life. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. God bless!

LOL. I like the part where you say you've "already repented today.." Hahaha!

Of course there are gadzillion things and mysteries that NO ONE can truthfully answer or know as fact, silly. And besides, you of all people should know that Religions, per se, are NOT FRAGILE in the very least.

It's the PEOPLE and their levels of belief or faith that are fragile and shaky at times... Maybe yours is too, to some extent!

Do you ever wonder if you were held at gunpoint right now by someone of a different faith and made YOU CHOOSE between your FAITH and your LIFE... Do YOU know the answer to that one?? Think about that for a second or two and be honest to yourself. You'll never know the answer until you face REALITY in the eye...

Peace be with you!

the thing is, what question do you want answered? It also depends on who you ask to answer the question... some people follow religion for the wrong reasons and others just simply have different views on religion. If someone can't answer a question, I agree, it's really lame saying only God knows the answer unless you're asking about something in the future like, will I die in 40 years today. The answers are out there somewhere and we can find them out technically, but we don't know how to find them out yet.
I think if you keep asking questions is a good thing and if you don't believe in God, then maybe it will eventually lead to you believing if you find the answers you are looking for, otherwise nevermind. If you are religious already then you need to ask questions to help your faith. I think that God has given us the answers personally, but he hasn't given us the capacity to spot them immediately, which is why we pray for answers. There is an answer to everything, you just have to look and religious people that say only God knows the answer mean that they don't know the answer or that nobody has figured it out yet.
Hope i helped :/

Do you really have questions you want answered or are you trying to stir something up with people? I'm sorry, but people who make presumptions about God's will don't make up a very large portion of Christians(I assume that's who you're talking about) Some people just don't have enough knowlege of the Bible and their explanations are based upon things they've heard from other people. Some people can actually tell you where in the Bible lies the evidence behind their proclaimations. I have not read your list of questions yet, but I plan to.

There are few Questions that cannot be answered. He has put people on earth with the ability to speak in his behalf and after that he has promised that if you have done all that you can to find out he will give it to you by revelation. I will admit their are questions that he will not answer like the exact time of his return but he has even given us many signs to watch for so that the faith full will be prepared. And yes I am LDS (Mormon)

There are a lot of things left unexplained to human beings. If you asked what heaven or hell was like--no one could tell you.

That doesn't only go for religion: there are a lot of things left unexplained in the philosophical and science fields too.

not having an answer does not weaken the faith. You trust science does it have all the answers ? No do you know the whole of science? No,here there are few experts.I can search for answers to your questions but it takes time and mostly my effort would be wasted.
What, honestly, do you want to accomplish? You are not seeking answers, are you just trying to force your view point on others,as you accuse them of doing ?

Read Adi Da Samraj! He'll answer the hard stuff in a really great way. We can all recognise the truth when we hear it, if we're ready, if we really need it. Everything else is a sugar pill, a consolatoin for death.
