We are getting married next October. My fiance and Son are wearing Kilts (the coulours are Black/green/Gold). All the other men will be in Black Tux's. Not sure which colour Cumberbun.
My dress, and my daughter, youngest son and niece are going to be Ivory.
Which colour should the brides maids dresses be Champagne or Black? If Black , should I wear a white dress? will the kids clash with me if they are in Ivory?

'champagne' is a dark burgundy colour ( for those of you who don't know)

I think the champagne color will be nice. If they wear black, that might be too much of the same color, so go with something that ties in with the season. You can tie all those colors together with the flowers in the bouquets. Ivory roses in your bouquet, ivory and burgundy roses in the bridesmaids flowers. You may want to do a garland of flowers around the little girls' heads that have ivory and burgundy flowers as well. Fall is a fun time to have a wedding.

I would say that it would depend on the time of day that the wedding is to be held. Evening weddings are more formal, and then the black would be totally acceptable. It would not look like a funeral. maybe a gold or ivory sash on their dress... If it is in the day, go with a lighter color. I don't agree that the brides maids should never wear an ivory or white dress. If they had a simple dress in ivory and your's was more ornate/elegant, then it would be no problem. Gold or a matching green would be very nice as well.

As for the bridesmaids, they should never rival the bride. So ivory for the bridesmaids is out. How about a forest green/evergreen or a dark wine color? These might go well with the plaids if you are concerned about clashing. Forget the cumberbun, try a vest or whatever they call it for the men. I go with the idea that only the bride (and perhaps the flower girl) should be in white or ivory...

pinks - oranges - browns possibly one subject silver, blues, blue vegetables an additional. should you pass to a few paint shops on-line they help you opt for colours schemes making use of a few endorsed colours. first you opt for a colour you wish to color a room then pass from there. of direction consistently begin with samples - paint the colours on extraordinary partitions part via part - see what it appears like over a interval of per week or 2.

I don't think black is a good colour for weddings... champagne is good... or a rich red colour... it would go well with teh gold.. and, it would match perfectly well whether it be an outdoor or indoor wedding...
If you insist on black, please don;t wear white... it will really look like a funeral... wear red or burgurdy instead.

i dont know what champagne is, but i failed to research it because the other option is black.. i really can't imagine a wedding where the bride's maid's are in black? that sounds far too morbid.

Why not green? it's very autumn.

How about black and gold. The more common color the easier to find.
