Well the professionals and directions on the package tell you to defrost in the microwave, but I'll tell you what I do. I sit my frozen chicken on my patio table on the deck for an hour or so in the sun, or a little longer in the shade. You don't have to worry about it being 1/2 cooked from the microwave and you don't really have to watch it, but you probably want to set a timer so you won't forget it's out there.....good luck!

The best way is to remove the chicken breasts from the freezer & let it thaw out naturally in the warmer, main, refrigerator section. This is the sfest way to avoid growth of bacteria.

A quicker way is to immerse chicken in a sinkful of cold water until it thaws. But you should could at once!

Probably put them in the fridge for 24 hours before you need them thawed.

Putting them in cold water may be an safe alternative... but putting them in the fridge assures you that they maintain a cold enough-temperature not to spoil or develop bacteria that may be harmful.

There's always "microwave" thawing -- refer to the machine's instruction manual or just thaw minutes at a time until completely thawed.

Put them in a large bowl, with running cold water and four usually take about 5-10 minutes. Make sure to turn them every once and a while.

The best way to unthaw food, is put it under hot steaming water, in the sink, for about 5 minutes. It will then be unthawed and is quicker to cook that way.
