I can definitely listen without judging. But do I feel safe? I feel .......uninformed. What scares me is that others will speak of things I know so little about. If they stop and explain to me about aspects of the religion I'm not familiar with, I know I would feel so open and so much more comfortable to intelligently discuss beliefs. It is my fear that people will mistake my lack of knowledge for ignorance and judgement against other religions. In truth.....it is me reaching out saying........."show me." If everyone can have tolerance for our differences, for our beliefs and for our levels of knowledge, religious discussions could be and would be amazingly interesting.

Yes I feel safe discussing my religious beliefs with others. If other beliefs are contrary to my own I still listen and do not pass judgement on those who hold those beliefs. Afterall, who am I to judge the validity of their beliefs over my own? I accept that they have a different perspective and appreciate the fact that they are discussing their beliefs with me and that both of us can take the time to share with one another without trying to convert, judge, etc.

Just as long as you are strong in your faith it is ok, but don't let anyone take you away from your faith or plant a evil seed in you and make you doubt your on walk with God..
1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the FATHER, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are ONE
1 John 5:8
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in ONE.
1 John 5:20 ( note all will not get this understanding)
And we know that the Son of God is come and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in the Son of Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life..

I actually spent two years sharing the gospel in a foreign land, so I feel very comfortable discussing my religious beliefs. At times, there were articles published which mocked my religion, but as I reserached the questions out for myself, my faith was strengthened. Sometimes it is hard to not judge other people, becuase I belive so firmly in my religion, but have learned that all people have truth...I just offer to add to the truth they already have.

I feel safe and secure with my personal convictions in matters of Faith and religious beliefs.
It so happens that mine is not among the mainstream dogmas and tenets being strewn about, and I do take exception to those that I've learned to be false based on my own findings.
Other than that, I do listen to others without judging...
Peace be with you!

If your belief is strong enough to support your faith, controversy will not bother you. Study and understand what you believe in and preach when you get the chance.
Jesus said to Go and make disciples. Acts 20:20 says he showed them from door to door, and I think that is pretty bold.
