That is true, if you arrange with them, they'll do it. You can also upgrade it to something else there, cause they do sell car stereos. As for why? Like other ppl said... Obviously... It's walmart! So it's cheap!

Wal-mart is the last place you want to get this done. The next worst is circuit city (they used dry wall screws on my back speakers). Whenever possible go for Best Buy, they know their stuff, if you want it done right though, go to a privately owned car audio shop. After all, that's all they do.

Stay away from getting that type of work done at WalMart. You do realize that if they damage ANYTHING at all, they will not own up to it and simply try and tell you that's how it was when you came in?
As for Best Buy and Circuit City, use them only as a last resort. I have had to re-install a lot of car audio products / systems that they have installed, and their workmanship is horrible.
Find yourself a reputable car stereo shop. Most will install it for free as long as you buy the radio from them.

They don't. Well atleast mine dosn't. But I have to agree do not have anything done to your car at walmart.
Broken dipstick, didn't put back on oil cap after change, put the tire back on totally wrong.
That is just naming a few thing that they have done to cars at my store. That is just what I've heard. I'm sure that there have been alot worse things.
They do say that the damage THEY did to the car was already there.

Try to find the closest best buy and go there. I work at a best buy and we are certified to work on your car so you get it done right the first time. We also sell tape and cd players. If you cant find a best buy then go to circuit city.
