Was Jesus too zealous?
Galatians 4:18 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

yes. Many people have opinions of what is right and what is wrong. Lots of people have no idea what is right and what is wrong. So, these people jump on the wagon that they like and have no idea of where they are going. Others however, are mislead and are brainwashed, and will believe and do most anything in the name of their religion with out reason or cause, because someone told them to do it. The zeal of these people kill others with no remorse at the voice of those who brainwashed them in the first place. True religion cares for the fatherless and the widows.

Most religions that originated in Europe are. Actually, I guess their not over zealous, but their religion teaches them to spread their beliefs.

I suspect that the overzealousness comes of either excitement (usually of a new convert) or the arrogant insecurity that says "you have to agree with me". I can understand the zeal -- God *is* exciting and He has told us to teach His Word. He didn't, however, tell us to beat each other over the head with it. Personally, I like the saying attributed to St. Francis "Teach the Gospel unceasingly. Use words if necessary."

All people should feel comfortable with their own beliefs and respect the beliefs of others. Accept that their belief is just as valid as yours as all faith is subjective(from within). No matter how sure one is that his belief is true and real, it still only exists in his imagination.

unfortunately yes... we should tell our opinion, listen other opinions and have a logical debate but we're to blind to see anything else than our opinion...
