This question is left up to the individual to decide. I would suggest that anyone who is struggling with this issue pray about it.

Personally, I do not drink decaf coffee. In my personal way of practicing this teaching, I take the prohibition against coffee to mean coffee in any form, including decaf, coffee ice cream, etc. I didn't always feel that way, but that's how I understand it now. However, I'm aware that some latter-day saints believe it's okay to drink decaf, and I don't have a problem with them doing something different from what I do.

My way of seeing things is: if you take the more conservative route, you'll never be wrong.

Their is actually no such thing as decaf coffee. Even decaf has some traces of caffeine in it. I watched a pbs special on this. They tested thirteen different varieties of decaf coffee and every one contained some levels of caffeine in them.

I reckon. it's more of caffein in coffee that is addictive, there are hundreds of other chemicals that can be addictive. So I do not drink coffee of tea, no matter they are decaf or etc. So I'd suggest it's better not to drink it. Better alternative, ask the general authorities. they should tell you better.

Of course it is unless the prophet changed the rules in the last twenty years.

The prohibition against "hot drinks" refers to caffeine, not coffee.

We are taught to stay away from even the appearance of things that are bad for us. But no, it wouldn't be wrong for us to drink it. That would be a personal decision.
