How long have you had depression? Are you currently taking any anti-depressive medication? When is the last time you saw your family doctor? I suggest if you haven't seen your family doctor in awhile and you are not on any anti-depressive medication then you need to make a appointment ASAP. Hitting walls and cutting your self (which is self mutalation) won't solve the reasons that you are angry and depressed. Your doctor may guide you to seek professional help with a counselor, therapist, psychologist or a psychiatrist.

Do some investigative work on your own. Identify what makes you mad and why and what makes you depressed and why. Then after that, acknowledge your good, strong points in your life. Be happy with all the accomplishments you have thru your life! Concentrate on your positives and don't focus so much on your negatives. Confide in your family and friends for moral support in addition to the therapist or counselor.

But I can only suggest this. It is strickly up to you if you want to change and make your life better for you and everyone around you. No one can make this choice for you.

Good luck to you and I hope you feel better real soon!!

See a doctor, in the emergency ward if necessary.

Tell him -- You feel some of the following:

change in appetite, sleep, and sexual desire
withdrawal from normal life activities and relationships
excessive crying or inability to cry
feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, and guilt
poor concentration
poor personal care
physical complaints that have no physical cause
recurrent thoughts of death or suicide
The diagnosis of depression is made when the person exhibits several of these signs.

If you name enough of these you will most likely be diagnosed as having "depression". Your doctor will prescribe that you take a pill, one of the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors.
Which one he/she chooses doesn't matter; they're all the same.
Take the pills, they will elevate your mood. They won't give you any insight into why you're depressed, or teach you any skills for dealing with life, but the do give symptomatic relief.

P.S. I really do hope you get over your depression without blowing you brains out.
May God bless and help you.

1)Talk to me.
2)Try to solve all your problems step by step.Don't pile them up.as saying goes, "Rome was not created in one day".
or you can take the biggest example which God gave us-
Indeed your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exist.

3)try changing your rotuine and companies.try volunteering for some orginization and helping people.may be elderly people may be handicape ppl.
see problems by placing your self in other shoes and you will find your solution easier

I used to be a cutter and had to get mental health treatment. It was and sometimes still is the hardest thing not to do when I am angry. I am very glad that I did go. For the longest time I didn't think I had a problem and sounds like you are at a point where you are realizing that this isn't what you want to do and that is a good starting point. Please get some help.

wow, you know it depends on your age, can you get help by yourself or do you have to have parental consent? like you need to try and get therapy, i mean you won't stop cutting or hitting walls unless you want to, i know that's the way it is for me and i'm 43. my therapy helps, and my meds help, but not all the way, it stopped my self destructive behaviour, but not all of it. it is like that part of it is an addiction like alcoholism or something and you have to want to stop and you have to work at stopping, it is a daily battle too.

but you have to take the first step and get help and therapy or something.

email me if you like, i've been dealing with this depression and anxiety and agorophobia and panic attacks, self injury and other junk since like the 1980's on and off and they say it is actually a chemical imbalance in my brain so i am on meds and therapy. but maybe i can help and maybe i can't but it can't hurt to talk.

Get help. It sounds like you may be a danger to yourself. Talk to someone, preferrably a psychiatrist about these feelings and behaviors. You should probably be taking some medication and getting some therapy.

I am very sorry that you are feeling so bad. I hope that you recover soon!

Get into therapy. Find a support group of people who are dealing with similar issues. Think positive.

Have you ever wondered about the reason of our existence? Have you ever wondered why we die, and where we go after death? What will happen to us in the end? Have you ever asked yourself why God made the earth and all that is in it under man’s dominion? Why were the night and the day, and the sun and the moon created? What are we supposed to do during our lifetime? Were we created just to eat, drink, and enjoy ourselves before we die? As one poet put it:
“I do not know whence I have come.
I saw my feet walking on the road.
As they please I go and stop.
What am I doing here?
How did the road find me?
I do not know! I do not know! I do not know! ”

God has emphasized in many verses of the Qur’an that He did not create us without purpose. He said: “What! Do you think that I created you simply in jest? And that you would not be returned to Me?” (23:115) He also said: “What! Does man think that he will be left to roam at his will?” (75:36) In addition, He said: “Do people think that they will be left to say: “We believe,” and they will not be held accountable?” (29:2)
Indeed, God Has created human beings for a purpose and with a purpose: TO WORSHIP HIM ALONE (Monotheism). He said: “I have not created the Jinn and humankind except only to worship Me. I don't require provision or feeding from them. Surely Allah is the All-provider, the Possessor of all strength, the Firm.” (51:56-58) In fact, all prophets told their people to worship God alone (Monotheism) and shun worshipping His creation (Paganism). God said: “I assuredly sent among every people a messenger with the command: Worship Allah and avoid worshipping false gods.” (16:36)
Prophet Abraham, for example, believed in One God, who had no partner. Anyone who holds a different understanding of God than this has contradicted the religion of Abraham and follows falsehood. God says in the Qur’an: “Those who reject the religion of Abraham make fools of themselves.” (2:130)
Prophet Jesus was reported in the Gospels to have said: “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only’.” (Luke 4:8)
Prophet Jacob also said (in the Qur'an) to his people: “Indeed, those which you worship besides Allah are only names that you and your forefathers have established, for which Allah has sent down no authority. The command belongs only to Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the right religion, but most people do not understand.” (12:40)

Real happiness and peace can be ONLY found in submitting to the commands of the Creator and the Sustainer of this world. God has said in the Qur’an: (Truly, in remembering God do hearts find rest.)
(Qur’an, 13:28)

On the other hand, the one who turns away from the Qur’an will have a life of hardship in this world. God has said:
(But whoever turns away from the Qur’an, he will have a hard life, and We will raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment.) (Qur’an, 20:124)
This may explain why some people commit suicide while they enjoy the material comfort money can buy. For example, look at Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam), formerly a famous pop singer who used to earn sometimes more than $150,000 a night. After he converted to Islam, he found true happiness and peace, which he had not found in material success.
