The ironic part is that the bible says,
"Judge not, lest ye be judged"
"Remove the plank from thine own eye, before removing the splinter from another"

Being a Christian basher because "they are Critical" is weak and avoids taking responsibility for your action. how do you justify christian bashing if bashing non-Christians is bad? how do you justify an evil with evil?
yes people are critical and some Christians can be as bad as anyone. but these are carnal Christians still getting the world way of thinking and doing out. Nobody is perfect.
are people of your way telling Christians that our way is wrong and closed minded, self righteous?
before you pass judgment on Christians for doing the same thing you are doing ; should you not first stop your Bashing of Christians?
My Grand Father taught me that 2 wrongs don't make Right!
and an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind and eyeless.
i know this is a strong word but it is truth. Focus on God not people. God does not care about how others act when its your turn on the hot seat. The bible tells us clearly how to behave & act even towards those who use, despise , & mistreat us.
remember we are all human & working towards perfection, for some the journey takes longer and some don't even care to go....
don't allow the bad actions, words, & misguided opinions cause you to loose faith. reguardless of what anyone does to us, the individual has the choice, you have the choice.

~~I have found that many of the questions asked, that end in bashing, are very acusetory questions. If someone was to attack a family member verbally, someone in the family is going to come back with some bashing remark to defend their family's honor. Many christians do not mean it in a hurtful way, just wanting to defend the God that they love, their Heavenly Father, in another word, family. those that do not want to hear the bashing should word their questions more such as this one, in a non threatening non accusetory fashion, and maybe their responses would be in more of a kind nature. btw, I am a Christian, and i am not ashamed of my faith, and yes, i am concerned for lost souls, just as Christ wishes that none would perish, i wish that also. if you take this as accusitory, i am sorry, i do not mean it in an accusatory manner, i am simply trying to answer your question. I hope this helps many understand where the Christian is coming from. Good question.~~
*one little note, i did however notice several people answering this in a manner to bash Christians, is this not what causes Christians to lash out back? i find that if you treat others how you wish to be treated, you will be treated in a like manner. I will pray for each one of you who answered this question regardless if you are bashing my faith, my answer, or my God, Jesus Loves you too.*

First of all, I'm sorry if some people who say they are followers of Jesus act more like sinners than the people they're trying to persuade; they give the rest of us a bad name.
But, to answer your question, Christians believe that Jesus is the only way to God because Jesus himself said so. In John 14:6 Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
So, that's the reason. I'd rather tell someone that they're driving off a cliff and have them hate me than just let them go off the edge and die.

I have never ask a bashed question against other beliefs in here. Mostly from what I've seen, atheists, muslims and other else are the ones bad mouthing Christians and God and saying things that are hurtful. I even ask honest questions and get insulting answers from nonbelievers. As far as yahoo answers questionaires, most bashing are from nonbelievers to christians. I can't understand how a nonbeliever could be so bitter against something they don't believe to exist and make it a habit to attacked it. Isn't that ironic?
If you believe your faith is true you don't need to bash other elses faith to justify the truthness of your own. I don't like to hurt people that I don't know because of what they believe and I sure hope that I don't now.

A Christain can not admit it is our way, because it isn't. We believe the bible is Gods way! There are things in the bible that we ourselves don't like but because we Love God, we obey His word! And Bashing is a cop-out, we are to give an answer why we believe not ridicule others for not believing. We are to pray for those who hate us not return evil for evil. It takes time for a Christian to learn to walk this way, it goes against everything we have been taught in this world. To turn away from someone instead of fighting. To answer someone sweetly instead of telling them off! We do all this because we truly do believe and Love God!

First off, it's not only Christians, it's most religions (even some atheists can get downright pushy and mean).
But look at it from their perspective : You're a friend, or neighbor, or someone they know. They honestly and truly believe that unless you convert, you'll spend an eternity in boiling lava (or whatever Hell is these days). So they try to change your mind, even if you try to resist. They think they know what's "best" for you.

You know, I never thought about that. You're right, it's our opinion about things, but it is in a way still a fact. Christians shouldn't try to force you to believe them, but you should. Don't you want to go to Heaven?

YAY!! I'm glad someone else out there thinks like I do! I don't care who anyone worships or if they worship at all. Worship hotdogs for all I care. Just live your life in a decent manner, and don't force your beliefs on me. I happen to have a very excellent relationship with MY God. And it's really none of my business who YOUR God is - or if you have one....just live, and let live.

simple. Christianity suggests that , there is going to be a better world for all of us, under a certain way of thinking. Thus, it is important to be constant. otherwise we should not have any conversation.

I have to agree. That is why I dislike proselytizing so much. It is rude, it is condescending, it is spiritual rape to me (just my feeling, is all). I never push my atheism or spirituality upon others. My Spiritual Affirmations:
My soul and my life are my business, my responsibility.
My actions and consequences are my responsibility, mine to own up to.
My purpose in my life is mine to discover alone and to act upon it as how I see fit, not how a religion or a religious teacher sees fit.
My experiences in life are mine to own, mine to keep, mine to recover from (if any), mine to learn from, mine to grow with.
My personal interpretions of the various sacred texts and teachings of the world are mine to own, mine to learn from what might work for me, and mine to reject what does not work for me.
