It depends, not all women are into necklaces or earrings, so it depends on the woman you buying for. I would say pay attention to how she accessorize. If she leans more towards chains then you know necklace is the way to go, if she is more into earrings then that’s the way to go. If she is into both then go for a matching set i.e. chain/earring combos. On the other hand she may not be into either but be more of a bangles or ring person it just depends. Just pay attention, it will pay off. Beside, women love an attentive man.
Tip: Pay particular attention to the type of jewellery she wears, she may be a person that’s into exclusively silver, gold, antique or she maybe eclectic and love the variety. All else fails steer the conversation towards likes and dislikes or make an after date of window shopping and again pay attention to what she likes and dislikes.

It all depends.Sometimes necklaces are great.Sometimes earrings are better than the necklace.Overall though I'd choose the necklace though.^-^
*If you're intending to buy a present for a woman then try to pay close attention to what she perfers to wear.Some women wear gold.Some wear silver.Some diamonds.It's important to know what type/style of jewelry she likes.

I would prefer a necklace. Whenever I wear earrings that are anything but gold, it gives me a rash on my ear, so I dont really wear earrings all that much.

A necklace. You'll get more use out of it. With earrings, it depends what metal they're made out of, style, etc. I'm personally allergic to silver so I can't wear silver earrings for very long (particulary very inexpensive ones).
