This is or was the society whose members protected the Christ-Magdalene secret, was supposedly formed in the year 1066. It was even said that Leonardo Da Vinci was a member. Is this true?

no.
there was a priory. but it was just a religious sect that eventaully died off within a few hundred years, by the 1300's.
the papers the book talks about are forgeries.

It's been shown to be a hoax. Every bit of information about the Priory revolves around 1 of 3 people, and goes no further than the 1950's.
