age is nothing but a number according to me.i like older guys.and in your case it's not like you like girls that are 20 or something, you don't have that big age difference.good luck with the next one

The reason why these girls you like don't seem as "hurt" is because they run away from any potential complications....like being with someone considerably older and with more life experience. Its not the kiss of death for someone whose looking for a real relationship and is willing to take emotional risks to find it. Don't lie about your age...better to screen out people who get scared off by something like that. And who knows? Maybe the woman who's ultimately compatible with you is someone who looks 29 or 30 but is actually your age!

PS to single father--being a loving dad adds to the hotness factor. The main "turnoff" is the worry that the mom is still in the picture. And women who are scared off by your having kids aren't really the type you want to be involved with anyway.

:)) The first thing is that u shouldn't lie
Second... if u look and feel younger then u definitely act like a younger guy, right? Because u feel it yourself...
And third thing, let me tell u i'm 20 and my sweet heart is 38. A little coincidence, no? We are hangin' around together for 3 years, we are a great couple and we love each other a lot. And maybe u'r right...somebody is nuts. But what's the problem??
So... live it to the end and u'll definitely find someone who will love u for real.
Best wishes and good luck!

I get the same thing. I'll be 38 next month, and got carded for spray paint, of all things, last week. But I think the kiss of death in my case is the 'single father' thing. It seems even the single moms (that do all the b*tching about never being able to get a date) want somebody without kids.

The only ones that want me are around 21 or 22. I want 26+. No exceptions. I just don't get it.

When you find the right woman for you, she will not mind a bit. Never lie about your age. Lying from the start would be the kiss of death for a good relationship. Just wait for the right woman. I don't think you're out of your age range there, but girls around 25 might be intimidated. Remember that their fathers are about 45-55. You should date people you want to date and who want to date you. If age becomes an issue, move on. Don't rule out women closer to your own age, though. Date them too, if you are attracted to them. They are less likely to be intimidated by your age. JUST DON'T LIE!!!

after 18 I believe age should be forgotten because it brings on so many misunderstandings. No I do not think you should lie no matter what. I always said someone who is hung up on age after 18 is not willing to look at the important things. the real problem is so many rush in and out of relationships for stupid reasons age being the top of the list.
so much is lost when we put up these walls and for what?

Its just the girl's preference.... some women get scared when the man is that much older, and some women dont...whatever you do, DONT LIE to the woman because if you end up loving and possibly marrying her, the lie will blow up in your face. You just have to find the right girl, dont worry, she will come along :)

Well I think you are just dating the wrong age woman and no all woman our age are "hurt". We have been through alot more but are more mature and have much more "experience" so stick with woman in their 30's at least and you won't have to LIE.

I always date older men, they are sexier and more stable. My youngest son's father was 17 years older than me. I was 23 and he was 40. I'm 34 now and he's 51 and I still think he's hot.

You are judging women by their age as you sit there and complain that the younger women you desire judge you. What's wrong with this picture? (I say this as a 28 year old).
